Ford MustangFord SUV Variations - Why Should You Ride A Ford SUV?
For the year 2011, Ford has got a lineup of five Ford SUV models. Those five models consist of the Edge, the Escape, the Expedition, the Explorer, and then the Flex. They range between an MSRP of $21,020 (the Escape) to $35,585 (the Expedition).
Not a single one of those Ford SUV models 2011 is new to the lineup this year, having all shown up on Fords list in prior years. Most cost effective of these models is the Ford Escape, a great thrifty family choice at a good price, together with excellent gas mileage for the class - 23 miles per gallon in the city, and 28 on the highway.
Ten years ago, 31 would be endorsed on a four cylinder sedan, so this is a great deal! It is available in some models with much better options and features, but as the features are added, so too does the price move up. A hybrid model is also available, but the mileage will not change much given that you could spend as much as $10,000 more for the model.
Next in the lineup, starting at $27,515 is the Ford Edge. Not much is lost when it comes to mileage when comparing and contrasting the Ford Edge to the Escape, for the reason that the driver of the Edge can experience a much more powerful ride with an engine which pushes out roughly 100 more horsepower. Options and features can bring the price up substantially, depending on what you look for and no hybrid model is available here.
Thereafter we have the Ford Explorer, that provides some more interior room, and is a renowned model in the Ford lineup. Offering a similar price range and mileage to the Ford Edge, the knowledgeable Ford shopper will take a look at both of these models before determining for sure what they'd prefer to drive.
More recent to the Ford SUV lineup is actually the classy and lavish Ford Flex - a car that has many former BMW, Lexus, and Acura drivers considering twice about buying one of the perennial favorite luxury lines.
